New Berlin West has gone 8-2 against Pius XI Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Vikings will head out to take on the Popes at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, New Berlin West didn't have quite enough to beat Greenfield and fell 6-5.

Elijah Gammage made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Kibler, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Pius XI Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-2 to Greendale.

Weston Mcgivern was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

New Berlin West's record is now 1-3. As for Pius XI Catholic, their record now sits at an identical 1-3.

New Berlin West's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Vikings have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Pius XI Catholic, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will New Berlin West continue to outrun the ball?
