Basketball Game Preview: Cocoa Beach Minutemen vs. Trinity Prep Saints

The Cocoa Beach Minutemen will head out to challenge the Trinity Prep Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cocoa Beach will be strutting in after a victory while Trinity Prep will be coming in after a loss.

Cocoa Beach took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Edgewood by a score of 49-42. The Minutemen haven't had any issues with the Red Wolves recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Cocoa Beach found their leader in sophomore Tristan Louis, who went 7-for-15 en route to 17 points and six boards. Louis also put up two assists, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jude Mohr-Bollinger, who posted ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Trinity Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by The Master's Academy and fell 83-40. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-27.

Cocoa Beach will need to focus on slowing down Finn Davidescu, one of several Trinity Prep players who made an impact when they last played. He put up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taine Miller, who had 11 points.
