Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Wildcats vs. Liberty Christian Academy Knights
The Grace Christian Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 55-32 walloping at the hands of Liberty Christian Academy. Grace Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than DJ Cuffee, who scored 24 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cuffee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bryan Bunnells, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Grace Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Liberty Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-11.
Grace Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Pacers at 5:30 p.m. Columbus Christian Academy is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Defenders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ the Cornerstone Academy will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
