Basketball Recap: Locust Grove Takes a Loss

Locust Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the McDonough Warhawks, falling 71-29. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in January.

Leading McDonough to victory were Jadah Rembert and Amiyah Dedrick. Rembert posted 28 points, while Dedrick put up 26 points. Rembert's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Amira Carter was another key player, putting up ten points.

Locust Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for McDonough, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.

Locust Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McDonough, they have already played their next contest, a 58-44 win against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy on the 5th.
