Football Recap: South Cobb Takes a Loss

South Cobb lost against Osborne back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to the Cardinals. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why South Cobb lost, don't look at Freedom Jones. Despite the final result, he rushed for 92 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries, and also threw for 116 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Ty'Lil Terrell.

South Cobb now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Osborne, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

South Cobb and Osborne will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Campbell at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Osborne, their break will end when they face Pebblebrook at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
