Selma is 8-2 against Marion since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Selma Saints will face off against the Marion Rams at 7:00 p.m. Selma is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Selma can't be too worried about heading out to take on Marion: they just beat Marion at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Selma strolled past Marion with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 49-33. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Rams are ranked 198th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Selma can attribute much of their success to Samarion Woods, who posted 15 points. Woods is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristin Blocton, who had ten points.

Selma pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Marion, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-8.
