Baseball Recap: Stow-Munroe Falls Wins Going Away Against Hubbard

Stow-Munroe Falls owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They blew past the Hubbard Eagles 8-0. The Bulldogs not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 11, 2024 (when they won 11-2).

The result came thanks to Mason Stewart's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Stow-Munroe Falls is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Caden Boyd was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Stow-Munroe Falls moved to 10-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Hubbard, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Stow-Munroe Falls will challenge Solon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hubbard, they will take on Girard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
