Franklin came tearing into Thursday's match with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Little River Academy Bumblebees. Considering the Lions have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Franklin pushed their record up to 22-3-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Little River Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-12.
