Softball Recap: American Studies Comes Up Short

American Studies is still winless after their matchup against City College Academy of the Arts on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of City College Academy of the Arts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against City College Academy of the Arts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in March.

American Studies' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for City College Academy of the Arts, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, American Studies and City College Academy of the Arts will both be playing Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy the next time they take the field. American Studies will host Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while City College Academy of the Arts will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on May 6.
