Basketball Recap: South Kitsap Comes Up Short

South Kitsap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 85-61 to the Emerald Ridge Jaguars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-53 back in December of 2024.

South Kitsap's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Emerald Ridge, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Kitsap will challenge Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rogers is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.7 points per game this season. As for Emerald Ridge, they will face off against Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sumner knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Emerald Ridge likes a good challenge.
