Volleyball Recap: Myah Molina's Big Game Can't Quite Lead South Baldwin Christian Academy over Central Christian

South Baldwin Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Christian Saints. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Saints 25-16 in the first set.

South Baldwin Christian Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (108-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-23, 25-21, 16-25, 16-14.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Myah Molina, who had 27 digs and four aces. Molina has been hot recently, having posted 25 or more digs the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Arthur, who had 15 digs, eight kills, four blocks, and three aces.

South Baldwin Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Central Christian, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Baldwin Christian Academy will square off against Government Street Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pensacola Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m.
