Basketball Recap: Port Gibson Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Port Gibson and Magee squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Port Gibson had to settle for second. They lost 57-35 to the Magee Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Waves have suffered since December 17, 2024.

Port Gibson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Magee, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.

Port Gibson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Magee, they will square off against McLaurin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. McLaurin will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Magee surely won't give up without a fight.
