Baseball Recap: Northwood Academy Comes Up Short

Northwood Academy lost against First Baptist School last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Northwood Academy lost 12-2 to First Baptist School. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northwood Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Rose, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jack Singleton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Northwood Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for First Baptist School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

While Northwood Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
