Mountain View faced Timberline in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Mavericks never let Wolves get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Mountain View's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Timberline, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.

Coincidentally, Mountain View and Timberline will both be playing Kuna the next time they take the pitch. The Mavericks will host the Kavemen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Wolves will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
