Basketball Recap: Eagle Academy Comes Up Short

On Saturday, Eagle Academy had to suffer through a 81-54 loss at the hands of Washington Heights Expeditionary. While losing is never fun, Eagle Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 603rd, while Washington Heights Expeditionary is ranked 105th).

Eagle Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Washington Heights Expeditionary, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-1.

Eagle Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-50 win against CSI International Studies on the 4th. Washington Heights Expeditionary has also already played their next matchup, a 54-48 victory against Norman Thomas on the 4th.
