Basketball Recap: Seagraves Comes Up Short

Seagraves lost against Ropes on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seagraves Eagles took a blow against the Ropes Eagles, falling 75-37. While losing is never fun, Seagraves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1208th, while Ropes is ranked 495th).

Seagraves' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Ropes, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Smyer the next time they take the court. Seagraves will host Smyer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Ropes will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
