Pacifica proved they can win big on Monday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Hueneme Vikings.
Pacifica's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Riley Ortega, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Ortega has posted since back in March.
Pacifica's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Hueneme, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 18-8 record.
As of now, neither Pacifica nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
