The home team had won the previous four meetings between Louisburg and Eudora, and Eudora kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Cardinals on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since October 8, 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Eudora scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-19.

Caileigh Kilgore paced Louisburg's offense, picking up eight kills. Kilgore got some help from Adelyn Moore and her 20 assists. Kenna Lohse controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The loss snapped Louisburg's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 9-4 record. As for Eudora, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Louisburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Fort Scott on the 25th. As for Eudora, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Basehor-Linwood on the 25th.
