Preview: Victory Christian Conquerors vs. Prague Red Devils
Victory Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Prague Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
With a playoff game on the line, Victory Christian rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 40-7 victory over Rejoice Christian. Given Victory Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Rejoice Christian is ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ayden Hamilton was his usual excellent self, rushing for 225 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Hamilton really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. Victory Christian also got a significant boost from Eric Peterson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
Meanwhile, Prague put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let Spiro onto the board and left with a 45-0 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Prague had established a 38 point advantage.
Victory Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Prague, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
Everything came up roses for Victory Christian against Prague when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 48-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Victory Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
