It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Vardaman had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Biggersville Lions. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Addi Lucius spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Vardaman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Parker, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Vardaman's win bumped their record up to 17-12-1. As for Biggersville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Vardaman will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
