Basketball Recap: South Broward Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

If Cooper City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played South Broward, they should've done a better job of containing Ayonna Lewis. The South Broward Bulldogs took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 44-13 victory over the Cooper City Cowboys thanks in part to Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Kalia Adams was another key player, putting up five points in addition to ten rebounds and five blocks. Adams is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

South Broward is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.7 points. As for Cooper City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

South Broward will take on Deerfield Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Deerfield Beach has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cooper City, they will welcome South Plantation at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
