Russell came out on top against Fleming County on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Red Devils skirted past the Panthers 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Panthers two weeks ago, they had to take a 9-6 loss.

Jayden Frasure was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Lokelio Ancheta, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Russell is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Fleming County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-16.

Coming up, Russell will challenge Greenup County at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Musketeers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Fleming County, they will take on Harrison County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Thorobreds/Fillies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
