Syracuse proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 15) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Farmington Phoenix 13-12. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now won three in a row.

Grace Thomas was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Olivia Brown was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Syracuse hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 9-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Syracuse's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Farmington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Syracuse will take on Fremont at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farmington, they will challenge Roy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
