Basketball Recap: Clayton Starts off Right with Win over Grady

Clayton had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 49-43 W over the Grady Bronchos. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Bronchos recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Despite the defeat, Grady saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Trey Rush went 5-for-10 to rack up 17 points along with five boards and three steals. Zander Ciancio was another key player, putting up six points.

Clayton has already played their next contest (against Roy Municipal School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Grady, they will challenge Springer at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
