Soccer Recap: Bruton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Arcadia last Thursday, Bruton came back down to earth. Bruton fell just short of the Nansemond River Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday.

Bruton's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Nansemond River, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bruton will square off against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give Bruton their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Nansemond River, they will face off against Grafton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
