Basketball Recap: Chrisman Comes Up Short

Chrisman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 69-41 loss at the hands of the Iroquois West Raiders. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Chrisman lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Statler Mitchell, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. Nate Bones was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points.

Chrisman's loss dropped their record down to 3-24. As for Iroquois West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-15.

Chrisman has already played their next match, a 65-54 defeat against Hoopeston on the 18th. As for Iroquois West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-53 loss against South Newton on the 15th.
