Soccer Recap: Mt. St. Joseph Academy Comes Up Short

Mt. St. Joseph Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Long Trail. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Long Trail this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 last Friday.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Long Trail, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mt. St. Joseph Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Sharon Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Long Trail will face off against rival Grace Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
