Soccer Recap: Detroit Cristo Rey Comes Up Short

Detroit Cristo Rey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the University Liggett Knights. While losing is never fun, Detroit Cristo Rey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 437th, while University Liggett are ranked 114th).

Detroit Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for University Liggett, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-4 record this season.

Detroit Cristo Rey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University Liggett, they will host Bishop Foley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Foley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something University Liggett surely won't give up without a fight.
