Volleyball Recap: Los Lunas Comes Up Short

Los Lunas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Albuquerque Bulldogs. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Keiana Baca paced Los Lunas' offense, picking up eight kills. Baca got some help from Cambria Casillas and her 15 assists. Lynae Hands controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Los Lunas' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Albuquerque, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Los Lunas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Rio Rancho on the 12th. As for Albuquerque, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against La Cueva on the 12th.
