Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Tigers vs. Ben Davis Giants

The Lebanon Tigers will face off against the Ben Davis Giants at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lebanon comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Frankfort hit Lebanon with a four-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Hot Dogs, falling 10-1. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly nine runs.

Lebanon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamil Phillippe, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Phillippe has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Ben Davis lost 19-4 to Pike on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Giants have suffered against the Red Devils since April 15, 2022.

Quinton Gildon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Ben Davis' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Lebanon couldn't quite get it done against Ben Davis in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 as they fell 8-5. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
