Baseball Recap: Kaneland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lisle on Saturday, Kaneland came back down to earth. The Knights took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morris Redskins on Monday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Redskins recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Kaneland's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Morris, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

While Kaneland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
