Spartanburg Day (Spartanburg, S.C.) returned from injury Thursday night and didn't disappoint.
In a 71-62 win over Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, N.C.), Williamson delivered 31 points as the Griffins improved to 7-6 on the season. See the highlights – and there were plenty – in the video above.
247Sports has Williamson pegged as the No. 3 prospect in the Class of 2018. He is expected to make his college decision Jan. 20 with Clemson, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina believed to be the key players.
The 6-foot-6, 270-pound small forward was the MaxPreps National Junior of the Year in 2016-17, putting up 36.8 points, 13.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game en route to a state title.
Williamson last played Nov. 21, scoring 29 points and grabbing 18 rebounds in a 70-55 win over Hammond (Columbia, S.C.). He tallied 45 points and 15 rebounds in his only other outing, a 70-62 loss to Christ School (Arden, N.C.) in Spartanburg Day's season opener.
Williamson and the Griffins take the floor next Saturday at the Spalding Hoophall Classic against Chino Hills (Calif.). ESPN will broadcast the contest at 8 p.m. EST.
