Flag Football Recap: Wheat Ridge Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Wheat Ridge's offense. They were beaten by the Standley Lake Gators 70-0 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-0 back in August.

Wheat Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Clara Snavely.

Wheat Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Standley Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Wheat Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 66-0 loss against Pomona on the 4th. As for Standley Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 defeat against Steamboat Springs on the 4th.
