Basketball Recap: Scott Beats Midway for Their Fourth Straight Win

Scott waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 58-48 victory over the Midway Green Wave. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-49 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Midway lost, don't look at Kyleigh Cawood. Despite the final result, she went 8 of 13 to rack up 24 points and three steals. Cawood's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points. Addie Armes was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Scott's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Midway, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

The future could be bright for both Scott and Midway: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Scott will try to hand McCreary Central their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Midway will look to extend Greenback's 18-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
