Recap: Derby Panthers vs. Arkansas City Bulldogs
The third road match was the charm for the Derby Panthers, as they earned their first road win of the season. They took their contest on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 53-23 victory over Arkansas City. That's another feather in the cap for Derby, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Derby to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dallas Metzger, who scored 12 points. The game was Metzger's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jack Ulwelling, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Derby's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Arkansas City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Derby will be home for the holidays to greet South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Arkansas City, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Salina Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. One thing working in Salina Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
