It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shelbyville had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Groveton Indians as they made off with an 11-2 win. Considering the Dragons have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Shelbyville got a massive performance out of Hunter Harvey, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gus Duvon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Shelbyville, bringing their record up to 19-7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Groveton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shelbyville beat the Indians by a score of 5-0 on Saturday.
