Soccer Game Preview: Byron Center vs. Mona Shores

The Byron Center Bulldogs will challenge the Mona Shores Sailors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Byron Center will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Byron Center's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Jenison with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Byron Center, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Mona Shores' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Neither they nor Caledonia could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Mona Shores' first draw of the season.

Mona Shores' draw makes their record 5-2-1 this season. As for Byron Center, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1-3.

Everything went Byron Center's way against Mona Shores when the teams last played back in April, as Byron Center made off with a 6-1 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Sailors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
