Recap: Bear River Bears vs. Herriman Mustangs
On Thursday, Bear River was the victim of a rough 65-44 defeat at the hands of Herriman. Bear River has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Bear River still got an impressive performance from Angelie Delgado, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Fry, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Bear River has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Herriman, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4.
Bear River won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Uintah at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Uintah is ranked 90th, while Bear River is ranked 102nd). As for Herriman, they will head out on the road to face off against Layton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Layton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Friday.
