Pelham and Trinity are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Pythons are taking a road trip to challenge the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pelham knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Trinity likes a good challenge.

Pelham's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Manchester West 35-0. The Pythons haven't had any issues with the Blue Knights recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Trinity faced St. Thomas Aquinas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Saints with a sharp 39-13 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won four matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Pelham, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything went Pelham's way against Trinity when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as Pelham made off with a 47-21 win. Will the Pythons repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
