Softball Recap: Norwell Comes Up Short

Norwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hingham Harbormen. The Clippers were not able to make up for their loss to the Harbormen from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Norwell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hingham, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cohasset at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Hingham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitman-Hanson Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
