Basketball Game Preview: Merritt Island Mustangs vs. Heritage Panthers

Merritt Island is 2-8 against Heritage since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Merritt Island Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Heritage Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

Merritt Island lost 59-37 to Eau Gallie on Thursday. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Heritage can finally bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They strolled past Satellite with points to spare, taking the game 70-52. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Heritage's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Merritt Island, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Merritt Island didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Heritage in their previous meeting on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 57-53 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Merritt Island since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
