Volleyball Recap: Minatare Takes a Loss

Minatare came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Arthur County Wolves. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Minatare was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Arthur County's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-21.

Minatare's offense was headlined by Madeleine Ramirez-Camargo and Jimena Perez, who picked up five kills apiece. The pair just refused to take it easy: they also led the team is assists, picking up five each. Perez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Arthur County found their leader in freshman Koree Daly, who had nine digs and two aces. Ella Dam also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Minatare's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Arthur County, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 8-6.

Minatare has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Leyton on the 27th. As for Arthur County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against South Platte on the 27th.
