Basketball Game Preview: Nyssa Bulldogs vs. La Grande Tigers

The Nyssa Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the La Grande Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Nyssa will head into Saturday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They lost 80-55 to Riverside. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, La Grande had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Ontario by a score of 51-44 on Tuesday.

La Grande's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Nyssa, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.

Nyssa didn't have too much breathing room in their match against La Grande in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 64-60 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nyssa since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
