Basketball Game Preview: Ravenwood Raptors vs. Franklin Admirals

The Ravenwood Raptors will challenge the Franklin Admirals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Ravenwood can't be too worried about heading out to take on Franklin: they just beat Page at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Ravenwood took down Page 63-45 on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Raptors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Patriots are ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin). They came out on top against Summit by a score of 82-69 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Admirals.

Ravenwood has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

Things could have been worse for Ravenwood, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 79-60 loss to Franklin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Ravenwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
