Soccer Recap: James Monroe Takes a Loss

James Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Spotsylvania Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Spotsylvania this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in April.

James Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Spotsylvania, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9-1.

Coming up, James Monroe will head out on the road to square off against King George at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Spotsylvania, they will face off against Courtland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Courtland will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Spotsylvania surely won't give up without a fight.
