Softball Game Preview: Westwood Warriors vs. Millennium Tigers

The Westwood Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Millennium Tigers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Neither Westwood nor Millennium posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Mountain View hit Westwood with a six-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 10-0 to the Toros.

Meanwhile, Millennium fell victim to Sunnyslope and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 18-0.

Millennium saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Sparks, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Millennium dropped their record down to 8-20 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Westwood, they now have a losing record of 12-13-1.

Westwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Millennium in their previous meeting back in March of 2018, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
