Basketball Game Preview: Eastlake Falcons vs. Pebble Hills Spartans

Eastlake is 1-9 against Pebble Hills since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eastlake Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pebble Hills Spartans at 6:00 p.m.

Eastlake came up short against Franklin on Friday, falling 59-36.

Meanwhile, Pebble Hills had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-47 win over the Bulldogs. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 562nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pebble Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Eastlake, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7.

Eastlake was dealt a bruising 68-39 defeat at the hands of Pebble Hills in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Eastlake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
