Softball Preview: Tyee Titans vs. Highline Pirates
After three games on the road, Tyee is heading back home. They will take on the Highline Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Sheridan Hammons was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Hammons was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Hammons is crushing it when it comes to RBI: she's brought in at least three every time she's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Jaylan Matiasi was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Kearra Thompson was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
Tyee now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Highline, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.
