Ray was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Corpus Christi Moody on Monday. The Texans put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 15-6 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Texans as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Kailey Benavides was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Ramirez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Ray's win bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Corpus Christi Moody, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.
