Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Berean Academy

Berean Academy won the last time they faced Marion and things went their way on Friday too. The Berean Academy Warriors put the hurt on the Marion Warriors with a sharp 58-34 victory. Fans of Berean Academy have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Despite the loss, Marion still got an impressive performance from Kenna Wesner, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points along with five boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Wesner a new career-high in blocks.

The win (which was Berean Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Marion, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Berean Academy will head out to challenge Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marion, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-54 loss against Wichita HomeSchool on the 14th.
